Use KingsChat. The server reads your profile from KingsChat and opens a session only after that profile is accepted. A one-time SSL check still requires that session.

Monitoring schedule

More than 30 days remaining: every 7 days. 15–30 days: every 24 hours. 1–14 days: every 12 hours. Expired: every 24 hours. Invalid or failed checks use a capped backoff. Paused certificates are not checked. The countdown uses the stored expiration date and does not contact the server just to update the days remaining.

Plans

Free monitors 1 certificate and notifies 1 contact. Bronze monitors 5 certificates and 3 contacts for 5 Espees per month. Silver monitors 15 certificates and 5 contacts for 10 Espees. Gold monitors 40 certificates and 8 contacts for 20 Espees. A contact is one email address or one KingsChat username. Annual billing is twelve times the monthly price and covers one year. Paused certificates use a slot. Archived certificates do not. One-time inspections do not use a slot. Extra contacts are kept and paused when a plan no longer covers them.

Payments

Paid plans use Espees hosted checkout. SSL Monitor confirms the payment with Espees before the plan changes. There is no automatic monthly charge. You renew with a new payment. A browser return from checkout does not activate a plan by itself.
